Salt Lake revolves around the mountains. Early starts, long days out, and maybe some work in between.
But what we don’t have is a consistent place to land - a true space dedicated to those who build their lives around being outside.
In towns like Boulder and Seattle, outdoor culture has a physical anchor. You finish a ride and know where to go. You’re training for something and know where others are working from.
Salt Lake has the outdoor access. It doesn’t yet have the space.
We’re working towards building one.

What we’re working towards
We intend for AOC’s basecamp to have the following and more:
Co-working tables for flexible dawn patrols and early log-offs
Sauna and cold plunge for recovery (we know it’s cliche, but it is fun)
Espresso bar with discounted drinks for members
Dedicated space for events focused on skill building, movie nights, and more
Not a retail store. Not a climbing gym. A place that reflects how the city lives.
We’re building this deliberately, and we want input from the people who would use it. If you have ideas for what this space should include, please tell us.
